                J. Turner Moore Memorial Library

                         1330 Lands End Road

In November of 1970, the Town of Manalapan Library was established and small quarters were provided in a wooden structure north of the former Manalapan Club.  Funding from the Town and donations built the young library, and the facility began to grow. In 1981, construction of a combination municipal structure was completed with the Library (renamed the J. Turner Moore Memorial Library) being wrapped around the face of a four hundred thousand (400,000) gallon water storage tank to form a national award winning facility.  The library portion of the unique structure was built with funds from Town residents and the generosity of the family of former Mayor J. Turner Moore.

The J. Turner Moore Memorial Library is now an organization established, supported and funded by the community. Funds to operate the Library are raised through membership dues, donations and subsidies from the General Revenue Budget of the Town. The Library provides access to knowledge, information, and works of the imagination through a range of resources and services.  Continually expanding its services, the J. Turner Moore Memorial Library's goal is to meet the informational and recreational reading needs of people of all ages.  In addition to books, the Library's collection consists of videos, DVDs, CDs, audio books on tape, a children's collection, and Internet connection. Membership to the Library includes an invitation to the Annual Open House, Lecture Series, and a copy of the monthly newsletter. Membership fees are:

Manalapan Resident - $25.00 per Family
