When approving the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in 1988, the Manalapan Town Commission incorporated La Coquille Club, a modern version of the prestigious former Club, which used to grace the grounds of the hotel site into the plans.

The original La Coquille Club was founded over forty years ago and remained a renowned landmark.  The new Club provides a unique opportunity for the Manalapan community to enjoy the privileges of a private club amidst the style and grace of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.  The Club continues to flourish in one of the most beautiful oceanfront locations in the world.

La Coquille Club provides three levels of membership.

Town property owners are a priority for the Club and upon application and approval by the Board of Directors, are made members of the Club without imposition of initiation fees or annual dues.  They are permitted access to most amenities on either a gratis basis or a fee basis on par with the Ritz-Carlton guest.  Examples include a private Club room and terrace, specialty dining, fitness facilities, pool and whirlpool, beach and tennis.  In addition it is anticipated the site will boast a world-class spa to be delivered in the summer of 2007.

For those who lease a residence in the Town of Manalapan access may be granted to the Club under certain conditions.  There is also a limited membership available for residents outside the Town of Manalapan on a fee basis.  There is currently a waiting list for this membership category.
