South Lake Worth Inlet Sand Transfer Plant
The Sand Transfer Plant at the South Lake Worth Inlet (at the southern most town limits of Manalapan on A1A) has been completed and is now being managed by the Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resource Management. Also, Bird Island, located in the Town of Manalapan, will be recieving a new sea wall. The north and south jetty surfaces will be replaced and the crib structures repaired.
There will be pile driving at the jettys from now until November of 2010 in order to complete the projects within the prospective timeframes.
